COACHING FOR ACHIEVEMENT
A “Playbook” for Instructional Leaders
Educational leaders are encouraged to “coach” teachers, but what exactly does that mean? Through interactive presentations (and the option of follow-up sessions or continuing on-site support), Jim and John help administrators and others in positions of leadership with the development of knowledge and skills for coaching individual teachers. The research base includes current adult learning theory and the accumulated wisdom of a wide variety of successful athletic coaches. A book to accompany this work is in development. Sessions are also available for teachers, extending the coaching metaphor to their work with students.
